If you are new to San Diego or ICCSD, we respect your desire to remain anonymous or gradually become immersed into this international community. We have a hospitality team that desires to invite you in a way that best welcomes you. You have the option of emailing us ahead of time so we can look forward to meeting you. Or you may let our greeters know that you are new or just quietly enjoying the presence of God in our church sanctuary. Fill in the contact card if you desire prayer, or if you would like to talk to the leadership about issues or require more information about ICCSD.
What to Expect at ICCSD
We combine elements of both the contemporary and traditional in our worship service. Expressions during our time of praise and worship include but are not limited to singing, outward celebration, quiet and meditative worship, clapping, kneeling, standing and sitting. During our time of announcements, we invite visitors to identify themselves only to recognize, honor and appreciate their presence but this is strictly voluntary. Our weekly sermon styles vary but have one purpose: to nourish and feed everyone with the extravagant message of God’s grace and a fuller revelation of Jesus as the source of blessings. Twice a month, we celebrate communion (the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist) at the end of the sermon as God’s invitation to us to unite more intimately as God’s Beloved. After the end of each service, we have a Prayer Team in the prayer room at the back of the church who would gladly pray for any needs or personal requests. Twice a month we also invite everyone to join us for lunch at the end of the service. Our attire and dress range from the casual to the casually-formal.
Children and Youth at ICCSD
Children and youth are a critical part of our church and community life. We partner alongside First Presbyterian Church to offer excellent and efficiently structured programs for all levels. We have a nursery provided for children 0-2 years. There is a preschool available for children not yet in kindergarten but ready for the classroom. There are Sunday school classes for grades K to 5. The Middle and High School Youth Ministry also meet for Sunday school. Check our website for the location of the various classes or ask one of our Greeters.
